Dr. David Gidony
About
Dr. David Gidony is an industry expert delivering applied, practical training, with over 25 years of experience in semiconductor engineering, system design, and technical leadership. His courses focus on bridging theory with real-world implementation, equipping engineers with immediately applicable skills for modern industry environments.
He has served as a technical leader and group manager in the semiconductor industry, leading the full lifecycle of Analog/RFIC design and testing for communication systems. His expertise spans IC design, semiconductors, and system-level engineering.
Dr. Gidony is currently a Professor in the Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Technology Department at Austin Community College, where he develops and teaches hands-on, industry-aligned courses. He has also taught at Columbia University, the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, and served as a Research Scientist at Columbia University, as well as designing and delivering circuit courses within corporate training programs at Intel Corporation.
He is recognized for instructional excellence across academia and industry, with a strong record of mentoring senior design projects and developing practice-oriented curricula.
His research experience includes wireless communications, biomedical imaging, and optical communications, further strengthening his ability to connect advanced theory with practical engineering applications.
Dr. Gidony holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and M.Sc./B.Sc. degrees from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.
